Snider’s Super Foods sells the family business after nearly 75 years

David Snider recently celebrated his 90th birthday, so he figures now’s the time to hang up the apron for an early retirement.

The owner of Snider’s Super Foods, a longtime grocery store in Silver Spring, has decided to sell to D.C.-based grocer Streets Market. Streets, which was founded in 2014 and has nine stores in the D.C.-Baltimore area, will take over at the end of August.
